Immerse Yourself in Milan’s Creative Heart
In Milan, fashion speaks Italian — and it invites you in. From pattern-making notes to catwalk statements, the vocabulary of style lives in studios, archives, and ateliers. At Il Centro – Italian School for Foreigners, our Italian for Fashion pathway blends morning Italian classes with curated afternoons inside the city’s creative fabric, so you learn words where ideas become garments and stories become collections.
This exclusive program combines a one-week intensive Italian course (4 lessons per day, starting at 9:00 AM) with two afternoons dedicated to exploring the Milan style scene. Perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in both the Italian language and culture through elegance and design.
The fashion component is guided by Matteo Chincarini, art curator and consultant, founder of Chincarini Eventi, who brings his expertise in art, costume, and design to a one-of-a-kind educational journey.
Instructor Feature — Matteo Chincarini
Matteo Chincarini is an art curator and consultant, founder of Chincarini Eventi (2018), creating cultural events and exhibitions across art, design, performing arts, and fashion. A graduate of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, he has worked in the visual arts since 2009, curating projects that connect art, history, and aesthetics.
His philosophy balances creativity with the relational and social dimension of culture: every project is conceived as a shared cultural experience, elevating beauty, innovation, and dialogue. He has collaborated with institutions and private clients such as the Italian Cultural Institute, the Consulate of Munich, SEA Airports, the Medici Museum (Florence), the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, and the Arte della Seta Lisio Foundation.
In fashion, Matteo explores the intersection of historical costume, contemporary design, and visual research — bringing heritage garments into dialogue with haute couture and museum-grade storytelling where visual beauty meets cultural depth.

“I wanted to move from loving fashion to understanding it — in Italian. Morning classes gave me the words; the visits gave me context. In an atelier, the vocabulary finally clicked. It felt like unlocking a code.”
“Milan is elegant, but also a workshop. Designers reference archives, artisans discuss techniques, communicators shape identity. Learning here changes how you pay attention.”
“The best part? Meeting professionals in places not open to the public. I left with a notebook full of vocabulary, sketches, and addresses — and a new confidence to talk about fashion in Italian.”
