Achieving Level A2 – The Key Step for Your Study Visa in Italy

To apply for a Study Visa in Italy, international students must demonstrate that they have successfully completed the A2 level of Italian. This level certifies basic communication skills and ensures that you can manage daily life and studies in Italy with confidence. If you’re still below level A2, you can prepare for your visa in two ways:

  • ✅ Enroll in our Online Italian Courses and complete level A2 remotely before applying for your visa.
  • 🏛️ Attend an Istituto Italiano di Cultura in your home country, which often provides recognized Italian language courses for study visa purposes.

Completing Level A2 – How to Qualify for Your Study Visa

Get Ready for Your Study Visa: Achieve Italian Level A2

To start a long-term Italian program eligible for a Study Visa, we recommend reaching at least Level A2. Once you achieve A2, you can enroll in our long-term visa courses (same structure as our Intensive Courses: 20 hours/week, minimum 16 weeks). Our levels at Il Centro

At Il Centro, every language level (A1–C2) is divided into sub-levels, and each sub-level takes around 40 hours of lessons to complete. progress naturally varies from student to student. The Italian Consulate requires a minimum of 20 hours per week (4 hours a day, Monday to Friday) in-person lessons at a recognized school.

No, self-study or online-only courses are not valid for visa purposes.
